New records or otherwise interesting species of Teloschistaceae (lichenized fungi) from India

Abstract

The taxonomy of the family Teloschistaceae is undergoing tremendous changes in recent times.
India has rich diversity of Teloschistaceae with over 100 taxa. The huge specimen collections of
Teloschistaceae housed at LWG are revisited and three species, Oxneria huculica, Variospora
flavescens and Zeroviella esfahanensis are reported as new records for India. The paper also
discuss some interesting observation on Golubkovaea trachyphylla, Seirophora contortuplicata,
Massjukiella candelaria and M. polycarpa.
